Remind Me Who I Am
So I thought I would share this little bit with you. First I did find a new job 20 mins away from my last one; so I am still on Long Island. I have 4 boys ages 10, 8, 7, and 4. I will post pictures and more later. But when we are in the car their previous nanny said they usually put on the Christian station so that they don't have to edit or change stations if it is inappropriate. So I decided to do the same thing and heard this song and I really liked it. It is not by anyone LDS but like the 13th Article of Faith states, "...If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things". I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

Lets Go Down to the 'Stardust' ballroom...
Yes one of the perks of being on Long Island with the city right there at hand...I can go see a show whenever I want. Not only that but I can see shows twice if I so desire. So yes, I did go see Wicked a second time. The Glinda was played by a different girl and she was just as good, just as cute, and just as funny. I really do enjoy this show. After that Maka and I went to have dessert at a place called Stardust. It was super exciting; they are all aspiring actors/actresses and so they sing and dance all around you as you are eating. It is a one of a kind entertainment and I absolutely loved it. Friday and Saturday nights at 11 PM they do show tunes and so we got a double header, first with Wicked and then with Stardust.

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Wednesday was my last day with the triplets :( I will miss them dearly but we all have to do what is best for us if we want to stay healthy and happy. I am leaving blindly hoping and praying that a new job will come my way. It is always scary quitting a job without a new one lined up but I have faith that everything will work out. I am sad to leave the cute little kids, Derek, Brooke, and Jake. They will be missed dearly!!!

I'm Only 26...
For Maka's birthday we went to see Phantom of the Opera. I saw this show once before in Salt Lake and was excited to see it here in New York...to my dismay the singing was awful! I know I shouldn't be such a critic but I am, especially when it comes to broadway shows. Christine and Raoul had the worst voices I could imagine. They didn't blend well together at all. I was trying so hard not to laugh...or cry...it was so depressing. If they could make it to broadway the so could I. On a more positive note...the phantom did extremely well. He almost sounded like Michael Crawford (original/best phantom). But overall it was a pretty good show because it is Phantom of the Opera and you just have to like the costumes, scenery, and everything...but the 2 main characters haha ;)

Christmas in New York
For Christmas I stayed in New York. I spent time with my host family and watched the kiddies open up their gifts. They finally reached the age where presents were exciting...but hopefully they don't think everyday you get tons and tons of presents :D I also spent time with my friend Maka. It is cool how being out here on my own I have to rely on my ward as my family. It is so great how the church brings us all together. I just wanted to share my favorite video about Christ for this post.
These Streets Will Make You Feel Brand New; Big Lights Will Inspire You, Lets Hear it for New York, New York, New York
So this week I did about everything you can imagine. Hilary came to visit and so we went and saw everything we could. We went to the Statue of Liberty, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, and had NY pizza (at Grimaldis). We saw the Rocketts Christmas Spectacular, went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and walked around Central Park. We went to Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center to see the christmas tree, and saw Spider-man Turn Off the Dark...Booyah! We rode trains and subways, shopped, and stalked santas...Apparently one of the days we were in the city was dress like santa day. It was the craziest thing I had ever seen. I am not joking...everyone and their dog was dressed like santa or an elf, and we even saw people dressed as stockings and reindeer. I felt like I was inside a Where's Waldo book! But I am not going to write much for this post because it deserves more pictures than words.

Can You Tell Me How To Get, How To Get To Sesame Street
Yesterday we took the kids to Sesame Place! It was in PA and first I have to say that I was an hour and a half away from my brother Walker serving his mission, that felt weird. Anyway Sesame Place is like Sesame Street. I think it's a summer waterpark, and for fall and winter they do programs for the different holidays. There are rides and such for kids. The one we went to was "A Very Furry Christmas". We saw shows, went on a carousel, saw a parade, and even saw Santa. It was about the cutest place for kids...or 23 year olds who enjoy being a kid again:)
